We went shopping and found the cutest baby boy at the store so we decided to bring him home.

What's so Funny
I was putting detergent in the dishwasher and the bottle was almost empty so I had to shake it and it was making a farting sound and Ike thought it was hilarious. Don't ask me.

Where's Matt
On Sunday Grandma Laura taught Ike to say Matt, well at least it was a one syllable word. She has many pictures of our beloved missionary on her fridge and Ike would point at it and say Matt or 'bop'.
So for the last few days Ike has been pointing at His picture on our fridge (and every picture in the house) and say bop I mean Matt. When he's grumpy at the gate by the kitchen I can say, "where's Matt" and Ike smiles and points and says Matt. I finally got him doing it although he kind of said it a few more times than he usually does.
We can't wait for Matt to get home. If you noticed my side ticker He's coming home in 5 weeks. He's been serving a mission in Hawaii and has been doing really awesome. We Love you Matt.

A beautiful site
I know this just looks like an unkempt bed but to me it's pure genius.
I'm embarrassed to admit that Ike has slept in my bed for about 3 months, leaving Ryan sleeping on the floor. I've tried several times to get Ike to sleep in his crib with no success. He has such anxiety and an aversion to his crib. Every time I put him in his crib he would cry hysterically to the point of puking. I even moved his crib in our room to see if that would help but no go.
Then I got the brilliant idea of putting a twin mattress on the floor in his room. I got a guard rail for the side and a body pillow for the wall. It worked great. He woke up a few times but I could just go lay down next to him to calm him down then go back to my bed. The best part of all, Ryan got to sleep in his own bed. When he layed down he said, "so this is how the other half lives."
I cleaned up Ike's room too so even if he gets out of bed he can't get into too much, and I put a gate on the door so he can't get out of his room. I think he's a pretty lucky kid to have a big boy bed at 1 years old.

Ike's Birthday Present wish list
Ike's birthday is fast approaching and in true Marj style I felt the need to inform all of you about what Ike wants for his birthday just to give you ample time to shop and get him the perfect gift. The simplest, cheapest, best gifts are at Roberts, which is nice because you can always get at least 40% off. Any of the Melissa and Doug wooden toys would be awesome. They have a pretty good selection and I, I mean Ike, wants them all.
If you are more generous and Internet shopping savvy you can always get him the Plex doll from Yo Gabba Gabba. If I decide to do a Robot party this would be perfect. www.Kidrobot.com also has a couple more Ugly Dolls on sale and one can never have too many Ugly dolls.
Books are always appreciated so are cute purses, oh wait that's for me. I think he pretty much has enough clothes. Diapers however never go out of style.
Ike's birthday is on June 7th however I'm planning on having the party sometime in July so Holly and Matt can be there, unless we decide to have two party's in which case I can do one robot and one monkey, hmm...

Ugly Doll for a Cute Boy
Ryan went to Vegas and brought Ike and I presents! He got us each an Ugly Doll. I've been wanting to get one for Ike for his birthday but they are hard to find around here. Ike's is named Babo and he has buck teeth just like Bucky the Schmo Hawk.

No Hi for you
But you do get a wave if that makes you feel any better. Of coarse when he watches it he waves and says hi.

Hi
I tried to catch Ike saying Hi, but instead you just hear me and Ryan saying it. He's been saying it for about a week, when he wants to. That and he's started doing this really high pitch squeal when he's excited, it's ear piercing so I will probably spare you all. But enjoy Ike waving.

Having a ball!
Doesn't Ike look like he's having a good time. Ike and Oskar have actually been playing pretty good lately. Ike's favorite thing is to crawl with is head down and ram into Oskar.

My new favorite thing
If you can't tell by Ike's blog redesign I found an old style photo booth at the K-mart in Orem. It's only a dollar so there is no excuse to not go snap some shots. I'm actually a pretty shy person and had to meander a bit before going in the booth, but once your are in you can pull the curtain and it's your own personal space. Ike was so cute, every picture turned out, he's such a ham. My favorite one is on the left side where we both look like deer caught in the headlights. Now to get Ryan in there with us for a family portrait.

Ike Rocks Out
On Sunday we were at Ryan's parents house. They have Barn toy that plays music if you push this brown square. Ike pushed it over and over again and would do a little dance sitting down every time he pushed it. It was the first time we had really seen him try to dance. Tonight he was playing with his barn toy it's different but it has a similar song and again he was rockin' out.

Happy Anniversary Mommy and Daddy
Mommy made me take pictures today to give to daddy for their anniversary. Mommy's friend Hannah came over and took them of us. But right before Hannah got here Daddy called and said he was coming home sick. Way to ruin the surprise Dad. We made him go sleep at his parents for a while while we took them anyways. I sure hope he likes them.

Spring blossoms
Ike and I have been going on walks most mornings and I've been loving all the pretty blossoms on the trees. I finally took my camera with me this morning. I get paranoid about taking pictures of trees in peoples yards but this beautiful tree is in full bloom at our church so I got to take as many shots as I wanted.
Come on people
I have new pics to post but I'm not going to til atleast one person leaves a comment on the last post.
Is that too much to ask?
