We're Sad

Daddy decided to go on vacation without us. Ryan went to Florida this weekend with his friend Chris for spring training. It's the Dodgers last year of having their spring training in Florida. They are moving to Arizona so maybe I can go next year. I miss Ryan a ton when he is gone and Ike misses his daddy. I'm sure he's having fun though.

Welcome Baby Owen

Ike can't wait to play with his new cousin Owen. He was born on February 23. He's so cute we can't wait to give him smooches. Too bad Ike and I are sick and have to wait for it to pass, we wouldn't want the little angel to catch anything from us. So Brittany and Jason will you give him some smooches from us please. Welcome to the family Baby Owen!

Fever, in the morning, Fever all through the night

1:00 AM Poor baby boy is Sick with a capitol S. He's had a fever all day and has pretty much been either sleeping or crying. Now I think it's progressed to full blown flu, and I do mean blow. I just hope me and Ryan don't get sick too. Wish me luck and baby boy a quick recovery.

4:00 AM He drank about 4 oz and I think he might keep it down this time.

8:30 AM He just drank 6 oz and is sitting up and playing. His temp has gone down and I think he's feeling alot better. Thank Goodness. Now all I need is a shower and to catch up on some sleep.

Standing up all over the place

Ike's a stander. Anything he can pull himself up onto he does. When Ryan got home yesterday he crawled right over to him and proceeded to pull himself up using Ryan's pant leg. He's always standing in his crib now too, and he has big kooshy bumper pads to stand on to make himself even taller. I don't think my house is ready for him to get any older. STAY A BABY IKE! No more growing up I mean it.

Hat Hair

Ike's cute even with messed up hair. I picked him up from Ellen's the other day and he must have been wearing his hat all day because when I took it off at home he had some serious hat hair. I just trimmed his hair up again to Ryan's mom's dismay I'm sure. But she's out of town so I feel like I can get away with it. I don't know why that should matter.
Ryan and I started playing Guitar Hero at top volume and Ike fell asleep durring the 3rd song and is still out even with Ryan playing the Killers. I guess that's a good thing, I don't want to have to tip toe when he's asleep.

Daddy's not going to be happy

Ike's favorite thing downstairs, you guessed it, Ryan's books. The one thing that he's not supose to get into. I even put boxes in front so he couldn't get to them as easy. Well he used the box to pull himself up and grab them anyways. I don't want to have to start clearing all my bottom shelves but maybe it's about time to. What a little stinker.
*thanks grandma for the cute pj's, Ike looks like such a big boy in them.

Strong Baby Ike

Look at him go. He actually is getting pretty strong. He rips out my hair with ease and even made it up about 3 stairs today on his own. He's getting so active now, videos are the best way to capture his cuteness now.

Cat Nip for Babies

We started giving Ike these little Gerber Graduates Finger Foods, He love them. We nicknamed them baby crack or baby nip. As soon as we put him in his highchair he's grabbing for them, as soon as they are gone he starts crying and wanting more. He seems like such a big boy now that he can pick up food and put it in his mouth.

Sign of things to come

Ike entertained himself with my current copy of Entertainment magazine. Do I let him tear it apart if it makes him happy or do I take it away incase he's learning that it's ok to tear books apart. There's plenty of time of lessons, let him eat magazine.

Just Cute

This is my view of Ike most of the time. Instead of the camera cord though that is usually my hair. At the end is usually my cheek not the camera lens.

Sit up and clap

Ike's been sitting up for a while by himself and I finally got him on video doing it. I even got a little creative with the camera movement, hope it doesn't make you dizzy. He's still not quite crawling, he's still on his elbows but he does rock on his hands and knees. Ryan talked to a couple today with 9 month old twins and one of them is walking, he got scared, but I don't think we have any fear of that just yet. Enjoy!
