Every boy wants to be like their dad

What a sweet little face.

Ike got a hold of Ryan's baseball caps and was wearing it around. It's appropriate that he found the Brooklyn Dodgers one since he's named after their stadium Ebbets Field.

He looks like he's walking in a parade in this one.
Ike already loves baseball and every other kind of ball, maybe he'll be a sports star like his, oh wait, maybe he'll love watching sports like his dad.
He even likes wearing daddy's shoes around the house. Some day he'll fit in them.

Swinging on a Friday afternoon

I finally remembered my camera at the park. It was perfect for taking pictures, nice and overcast.

Ike's second favorite thing at the park is Swinging. Can't blame him there.

Sliding

Ike's new favorite thing to do.

Brave boy

We went to the park in Orem on Center behind the library. He hadn't been to this park since last summer but that didn't matter. He took my hand and headed out.

Did he go down the first little slide? No.
He headed up the stairs.
Did he go down the second slide that was straight and pretty big? No.
He kept going.
Did the big step stoop him? No.
Can you see him heading towards the big green slide.
And went down first thing. What a brave boy. I hope he stays this way.
I can only imagine if Jace was with us he'd be freaking out over Ike's safety.

World Autism Awareness Day

Here's a short PSA from Ike's favorite cartoon Wow Wow Wubbzy.

Make yourself comfortable

We found Ike watching TV in our room where he had taken one of his chairs from the front room and put it on our bed then was sitting on it just watching cartoons. What a little creative stinker. Doesn't he look proud of himself.

Punk Rock drummer

Cousin Owen had a fun Punk Rock birthday party. He's the one with the blue mohawk. Ike broke out his 3month Social Distortion onsie that still sort of fit him. Owen got the coolest drum set that all the boys wanted to play. Ike's birthday is coming up in 2 months, can you believe it. I've been brainstorming some Theme's which Ryan has veto'd all of them and says we are having a 'birthday' theme with cake and balloons and that's it. Bah Humbug. Where's the fun in that. At the moment I'm deciding between Old Skool Hip Hop, Robots, Yo Gabba Gabba or Wow wow Wubbzy. Ryan's family gets into it so why not take advantage and have some fun, that's what a party is about anyways.
