I've got monkeys on my feet.

They keep my feetsies nice and warm and I like to try and put them in my mouth.

First Official Feeding

On the menu for this evening, Applesauce. I just happen to have one bottle of baby food from some shower or gift. Thanks to grandma I have this cool high chair that he had a lot of fun playing with the toys on it.

He seemed to really like it.

Sleep would be good

About 2 weeks ago I decided to move Ike to his room. He had been sleeping in a Pack-n-Play in our room. He was getting to the point where he was sleeping til about 5am 2 to 3 days a week and usually at least 3am most other days. Once we moved him to his room he's woken up at 1:30am every night. I'll feed him and try to put him down again but I usually just end up with him in the bed with us til morning. Last night was the exception he actually slept till 2:48am.
I have two things I'm going to start doing to see if maybe that will help.
1. I'm going to start feeding him solids.
2. I'm going to start putting him to bed an hour earlier.
If anyone has any other ideas I'm all ears.

Peek-A-Boo

How cute is baby boy? Ok so I should have put his pants on before I shot this but that was probably part of the reason he was so happy. That and he just took a big ol' ...

True Blue

The big game is today and Ike has chosen sides.
He's a BYU fan just like his dad and his Grandpa's. Go cougs. Ryan will be at the game cheering them on while Ike and I occasionally tune in while putting up the Christmas tree. Now when I think back a year ago I can think about being pregnant. We went to Ryan's friends last year where there were about even BYU fans and U of U fans. That was a good game, I'm sure this year will be exciting too.

Ike's First

Thanksgiving Meal! I decided thanksgiving would be a good time for him to have his first taste of real food, and what better food than some sweet potatoes. I was planning on waiting for the 6 month mark but Ryan's family was all there (minus Jason and Britt squish squish) and I knew they would be excited to watch his first spoonfuls.

Everyone gathered around for the feeding. Ike did a good job. And for dessert he got his favorite treat, his thumb. Didn't Ryan take great pictures.

Da Da Da Dad

Does this count as his first word. Hmm, I'm not sure. But it's cute none the less.

Pick it up

For a change of pace I thought I would post a non Ike video. We (Ike and I) were watching Yo Gabba Gabba, my new favorite kids show, monday morning and this little cartoon came on. I've never seen a Ska kids song before. I just thought it was so cute I had to share. Enjoy!

Hangin wit da cuz'n

All the cousins together, except for baby buddha that's in Brittany's stomach still. Ike gets to be a big cousin to him. The boys had fun playing together and included Ike in a little fun on Christians cool race car bed.

Jace was wearing his cool spider man costume, with nothing on underneath which was a little disturbing but cute.

I can't wait for Ike to be able to play with his cousins. It will be sooner than I think I'm sure.

Best Buds

Jace's favorite thing to do with Ike is play 'this little piggy' with his toes. It's very cute. Jace is the first one to get Ike to laugh. I can understand, Jace is a pretty funny kid, very creative and smart, he's always coming up with new things to entertain the troops with. Even though he gets mad when people laugh at him. We can't help it Jace you are too darn cute.

I had to do a compare and contrast picture. Too bad Ike was in a blanket so you can't tell just how small he was. ah I miss his full head of hair, but it's coming back, it's just not as dark.

Sit down Ike

Ike's working on sitting up. He's not quite there yet but he's getting close. I took this video thinking he would fall down but he didn't he actually sat there for quite a while. I even got to take a few pics of him still sitting up. I'm ready for him to sit up but I want it to stop there, no crawling or walking around, my house and me aren't ready for it.

Ike looks like a big boy

I think these pictures make Ike look like a big boy. I'll have to look back once he's older and see if I was right. Looking at Jace and Christians pics around this age they are starting to look like they do now. I want him to stay little but I also can't wait to see what he's going to look like when he's older.

*I know you all think he spends all his time in this play thing but It's kind of hard for me to take pictures of him when I'm holding him. I can see the cute things he's doing when he's playing with pooh and friends.

I Swear

Several times when I've changed Ike's diaper in the middle of the night in the dark I see a little spark or flash of light when I'm pulling the diaper away. Am I crazy. That's a rhetorical question. Now I am half asleep, but it's happened at least 5 or 6 times. Ryan will say it's out fire alarm that does flash every so often but it's not that, I know the difference. It's right at his bum and it's just a small flash. I have no scientific theories for this except maybe static electricity. Has anyone else experienced this, or do I need a phsyc exam.

My Baby Rocks!

Aunt Brittany got Ike this cute shirt at the dollar store, that's right 1 buck, it's my new favorite shirt. I finally got him some new jeans that sort of fit him and he looked so cute today I had to take a picture. Enjoy and Rock On!

Just plain cute

I don't know how to describe this video except to say it's just cute.

I'm so mad at myself for taking it sideways. I even took two videos of him doing this the same way.

My First Tooth

Can you see it? I thought he was teething last week, then he quit having a running nose and didn't seem to be fussing as much so I thought it was a false alarm. Then today at the store he was fussing a bit so I put my finger in his mouth (in place of the pacifier I forgot) and Voila, a Tooth. I'm excited! My boobs however are a little nervous.

Getting a picture of it was a little tougher than I thought it would be.

Ever Wonder

What it looks like to literally put your foot in your mouth. Well here's Ike to demonstrate it for you. So now when you say something stupid you have a visual for what you are doing.

Fun day with Grandma & Pa

I've been looking for just the right time to have Ike wear this shirt and today was the day. Grandpa W has been working on his back patio all week and I knew he would be nice and dirty today for a good pic with Ike.

I should of got a pic of his nice work he's been doing. We also got to spend the day with Grandma W going to Good Earth and Target for a little browsing. Ike was a perfect angel all day. I've trained him to be good for Grandma & Pa so they will babysit him. Good job Ike!

Ike Talks

and talks and talks. He's also developed his inner opera singer. Let me tell you he can reach those high notes. Last night I kept laying him down in the middle of the night and he just started talking away. I'm not sure who he was talking to and he would only stop when I brought him back in bed with me. I have to admit it's pretty cute though.

I don't drool THAT much

I look like my Cousins

My cute nephews Donavon, Simon and Duncan always wore pants like these when I lived with them so when I needed some new pants for Ike I had to get them. This outfit reminds me of them, and they are super cool so that must mean...

Ike is super cool. I thought he looked so big laying here. He is 5 months on weds. I can't believe it. This is his first 6 month outfit that fits him. Thankfully he's pretty much on mark with the clothes size so he's been able to wear all his cute clothes longer.

Cold Chillin

I'm just chillin with my peeps pooh and the gang, it's no thang.

I wish that darn mirror wasn't shining on his head but other than that this is such a cute picture. I put him in this when I was getting ready and he kept his arm like that for the longest time I had to take a picture of it. Shows what a kick back baby he is.

Mommy bought me a new jacket and a couple of new hats, so I'm all ready...
