Daddy Promises to never do this again

There's a sound that Ryan makes that resembles a fog horn and for some reason it makes Ike cry every time. But before he cries he makes the cutest saddest frowny face. Ike seems to always hold it against Ryan each time he does it but yet he's done it several times because It's so darn cute and makes us laugh every time.

I've been wanting to get it on Video so I talked Ryan into doing it again last night. He reluctantly agreed with the stipulation that it was going to be the last time he ever did it.

Unfortunatly the video isn't very good but atleast you can kind of see it. I should have just kept shooting it but I was worried it would be too long. And yet again I filmed it sideways.

Clean and Happy

Ike spent his first day with his new sitter Ellen. I picked him up and he seemed really happy and best of all he was clean. I liked the other daycare but every time I picked him up he was filthy. She was giving him graham crackers, which I'm sure he loved but man they got every where. Ike wore this same outfit his first day of the other day care and when I picked him up he was in his backup outfit and she told me he had grabbed a plate with ketchup on it and it spilled on his outfit. Luckily I got the stain out. I put him in the same out fit (it's my favorite) to take him to Ellen and I got him back clean as a whistle. I think she really liked Ike, she said she only remembered him crying twice all day. I think he's going to really like it with her. It's so nice to have someone good to watch your kid.

Going to be getting into stuff soon

Ike's been hanging with me downstairs. He can really get around now even though he's not quite crawling. He has started to climb up on things. He even was trying to pull himself up to stand but hasn't quite mastered that yet, thank goodness. He's on the verge of becoming a handful and I'm trying to prepare myself for it. I'm excited too, he's going to be cute crawling and walking around.

Zurbert Baby style

I don't know what it's called but we always called it a Zurbert when someone blows on your tummy to make a fartsy sound. Well ike has discovered he can do it too. I caught him doing it to the laptop over and over again. I had a video of him doing it to my chest but it didn't look appropriate. He'll do it to my cheek or my hand. Pretty much when he catches site of some skin he comes at it open mouth. It's cute and awfully slimy.

Things just work out

I picked up Ike yesterday at his new daycare. First thing the lady that watches him said was 'Bad news', I gave Ike a quick once over, he looks ok, start breathing again. She is not going to be able to watch Ike anymore. She had the zoning inspector come and she is only zoned for 2 kids under 2 years old and Ike was the 3rd to sign up. I drove home thinking Oh Great I have to start looking for someone again, what a pain. I had left my cell phone home and had a message waiting for me from my mother-in-law. "If it doesn't work out with your sitter I just found someone." I quickly called her back, 'perfect timing' and explained the situation. Turns out she was talking to her friend, this sweet British lady from her ward who asked if she was watching Ike today. Laura then explained that no, he was now being watched by a 'stranger'. She told Laura that her daughter was looking for a child to start watching. A few phone calls later and I have a new sitter for Ike. She seems thrilled to watch Ike, which is so nice. It will be really nice to have someone who we know watching him, Ellen (the new lady) was visiting teaching partners with Laura for a while. It always amazes me how things just work out perfect in the end.

*Fun Fact- Ellen's brother was a member of REO Speedwagon for a time.

New Noises

I brought Ike home after his first day at his new Day Care. I think he had fun. She has a few other kids and it sounded like they entertained Ike pretty well. There was a little 4 year old boy named Dillon that did a little dance for Ike when I was there that was making Ike smile really big. When I got him home he had a new talent. He was making this noise over and over. Hopefully he only learns cute fun things from his day care.

Not loving pees

I was trying to give Ike some pees and he just wasn't having it. He kept making the funniest face and shaking his head in disgust. I caught the end of it on one video and a short one on the other.

Yum!!!

Baby boy had his first taste of Prunes. He actually really liked them, and now I know what to feed him when he's constipated.

Big boy bath

Now that Ike can sit up he's been taking baths in the big bathtub. He's even gotten to take a bath with Ryan and I (separately). I had fun taking a bath with him. He like floating in the water and kicking and splashing. Maybe he'll end up like his dad taking nice long baths every day.

Silly Billy

I had Ike in his highchair and was in the other room when I heard him start to cry hard, like something had just happened. I went it to find him crying and started looking around to see what could have happened. Then I saw his arm. A red spot with two little teeth marks. Silly boy bit himself. I know how bad it hurts too. Hopefully he'll be smart enough not to bite himself again.

Ike's just a little ham

My camera has a little red light that comes on to auto focus and every time that light shined on Ike he would pull the cutest funniest faces. He would raise his eyebrows or smile really big. It was cracking me up. That would be the reason for all the pictures. He's just such a character. His personality is really coming out.

Cute Vid

Is it pathetic that after I put Ike to bed I miss him. I find myself looking at pictures and videos of him that remind me of how cute he is. Not that I'm looking forward to him waking me up between 4 - 6am but I just can't get enough of him.

New Smile

He's got his big top teeth in. So I should show off his new big smile. Isn't it cute.

Newfangled feeding device

My sister Cate found this cool bottle that you put baby food in and they can just suck it out. Ike hasn't perfected it yet but we are working on it. Nuby makes it, and she's only been able to find it at Walmart.'Yum mom this taste really good.'

Clap your hands and say yeah

The other day Ike kept clapping his hands. This is just a quick video of it. He hasn't been doing it as much since that day but he's still doing it, and it's cute when he does.

Bucky

Ike's top 2 teeth are finally coming in and they are HUGE! Ryan is already calling him Bucky. We'll try not to give him a complex if he does end up looking like a nerd. Just Kidding, he'll be cute, and Bucky is a little to close to Christians nickname Bunky so I don't think it will stick, don't worry.

Is there something on my face?

I'd eat my peas with honey, but snot works just as well.
Ike had fun playing with the peas, I don't know if he actually got any in his mouth, but I'm sure he will eventually. He got close though.

Happy New Year

Baby Ike only has one New Years Resolution, to be cuter. I don't know how this is possible because he's already about the cutest thing ever created. But I'm sure he'll pull it off somehow and I'll be sure to update you on all the cuteness the new year has in store.
