Ike's going to be a climber

Ike's got a new talent. He pushes his little toy to where he wants to go then he climbs up the little stairs so he can reach more things.

I've already had to clear my bottom shelves. I'm worried I'm going to have to clear my second to bottom shelf too.

Ike is like his dad he likes to watch the TV as close as possible. Thankfully that toy is pretty stable and hasn't tipped over yet.

Side note: I brought Ike by Laura's office and had her weigh him and he's about 19 lbs 3 oz. So he's been eating. I think he's gained about 2 lbs in about a month and a half. Good job Ike.

I've loved you Gwama since the moment I came out. Thanks for helping my mom get me out of there. Thank you for babysitting me when my mommy had to work and thanks for all the hugs and kisses. Soon I'll learn to give them back to you.I love you even when you do unspeakable things to me.

Mr. Popular

Ike's Fan Club reached it's 5000th hit. That's in less than a year. For a 10 month old that's pretty good. For a while his blog was more popular than my other blog (dlxmfs.blogspot.com) but I finally became more popular than my baby, but just barely. I actually haven't seen anyone else who's done a blog exclusively about one child, except Jen's two cute boys. I'm actually a little surprised he has so many fans. But I guess I shouldn't be, I mean look at him, he's so darn cute who wouldn't want to join his fan club.
Thank you everyone who checks in on my cute baby boy and especially those who leave comments. He actually likes looking at it now, I can only imagine how much he's going to like it when he's a little older and can read all the things he did in his life, and see all the people that cared enough to check in on him.

Ike's Walking

Ok not really, at least not without a little help. He likes cruising with this toy, on the wood floor sometimes I think he's going to fall on his face but he doesn't. Although in this video he does kind of fall on his bum. If you turn the video up and listen closely you can hear Ike's first word. Ryan's family thinks it's oh so funny that Ike's first word starts with a shhh and ends in a distinct T sound. He didn't learn it from me. I'm blaming it on his aunt brittany (we all know you are a potty mouth). If you don't want to hear it just keep the volume down.

He's really liking his toys where he can stand up. I know he's going to be walking any day now, I'm trying to phych myself up for it.

Fondue Fun

We went to a fun fondue party last night with some friends from Ryan's work. It was alot of fun and the fondue was fantastic. It was fun to hang out with some couples and meet the people that Ryan comes home and tells me about every day (all good stuff).

Ike had fun too, he got to hang out with his buddy Gavin. They were born at the same time last year but haven't met til now. Gavin has this cute way of grabbing his ear when he's scared, so I can only assume that Ike was trying to comfort him in this picture.

My buddie has a Boo-Boo

My best friend Oskar got neutered yesterday. He's not feeling so good which makes me sad, but he has to wear this funny looking cone on his head that makes me laugh. I try to grab it but he doesn't like it.

International Mail

Ike got his first postcard. It's from my parents in Costa Rica. He loved the colorful Tucan on the front and Ryan read him the cute message my parents. He did try to eat it a few times but I rescued it. Thanks for thinking of me Grandma and Grandpa. I love you!

Grandma Likes to Play Dress-Up

Ike and I spent a few days in Vegas with Grandma, Emily and Jace. Ike mostly enjoyed all the attention. He's such a good boy, he only got a little fussy being somewhere new for so long. I could tell that he was really missing Ryan and he started getting a little clingy with me.

We made it home safe and now I'm sure he's going to miss Grandma and having her dress him up.
